A Family That Documented Everything
My appreciation for preserving family memories didn't start with a camera—it started with my father. He documented our family life through photographs and 8mm movies, capturing everything from my parents meeting and dating, through their wedding and honeymoon, to watching me and my younger sister grow up.
Those films and photographs became something precious. Watching them as a child, I understood instinctively that these moments mattered—that the ordinary, everyday moments of family life were worth holding onto. That feeling never left me.
From a Brownie Camera to Video Editing
Curiosity Was Always the Starting Point
My own interest in photography started young. I had a Brownie camera as a child and loved the idea of capturing moments the way my father did. Photography felt like a natural extension of how I'd grown up seeing the world.
Then came the 1980s and early home computers. I became fascinated by what technology could do—and somewhere in that fascination, I discovered that video editing might be a way to combine technology and creativity in a way that felt genuinely exciting to me.

I didn't go to film school. I didn't take formal classes. I learned by sitting down, experimenting, making mistakes, and figuring out what worked. Technology has changed dramatically since I started, and I've changed with it.
I'm still learning today. When there's something I don't know how to accomplish, I enjoy figuring it out—whether that means researching, watching tutorials, or simply trying different approaches until something clicks. That curiosity is part of what keeps the work interesting.

What I love most about this work is watching a project develop from its very beginning to its finished form. Every project starts as raw footage, scattered photographs, or a simple idea—and gradually it takes shape.

There's something genuinely satisfying about being part of that progression—from the first rough cut to the moment a client watches the finished production for the first time.
